Celebrate Canada Parks Day with a Guided Forest Therapy Experience open to Healthcare Professionals

Canada Parks Day 2026 is an annual nationwide celebration highlighting the importance of natural spaces, protected ecosystems, and the outdoor recreation opportunities offered by provincial, regional and national parks. Forest Therapy and Forest Bathing are sensory connections to the forest which science has shown to boost our immune system, calm our nervous system, create mental clarity and inspire creativity among many other relational benefits as well. With thousands of healthcare professionals now prescribing time in nature through parkprescriptions.ca, even more people are discovering or re-discovering, the medicine of the forest that awaits…the time has come to awaken our senses again… As a Park Prescriptions Connector, I invite all healthcare providers on the Sunshine Coast to set aside some time to slow down, connect to the forest, and learn about Park Prescriptions, how you can become a registered prescriber, and how a guided forest therapy experience is an excellent choice for your patients challenged by a variety of health concerns. To read some of the science behind nature connection, visit www.parkprescriptions.ca
